Hon Victor Nyeche Ihunwo JP condemns the Military disruption of Rivers State Neighborhood Safety Corps Agency training exercise.
The Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Rivers State and the Mayor of Port Harcourt City, HonVictor Nyeche Ihunwo JP, has added his voice in condemning the last week military invasion of the training camp of the Rivers State Neighborhood Safety Corps Agency in Nonwa, Tai LGA, and the disruption of the training of its recruits by the military.
He described the labelling of the members of the corps as “militias” by the military as “madness” saying the Neighborhood Safety Corps Agency is a creation of an act of parliament with the aim helping the conventional security agencies in providing information and intelligence to put a curb on crime and criminality in our communities and serve as a meaning of providing food for the families of the members of the corps.
He called on the residents of Rivers State to raise and defend themselves against the gang up by the security agencies who has now turned themselves to partisans to sabotage and rubbish the good works of His Excellency, Chief Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
He prayed to God to continue to guide and protect the Governor to continue with his good works to the people of the state…
