Nnamdi Kanu Calls Off Election Boycott Order, States Why.

Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the proscribed Indigenous Peoples Of Biafra (IPOB) has called off the group’s election boycott order.

Mr Kanu had ordered his followers comprising mainly of the Igbo tribe in the South-East region and also south south to shun participation as Nigerians goes to elect its leaders on Saturday.

Also, a similar order he issued last year during the governorship election of Anambra State which recorded partial success.

The separatist leader escaped when Nigerian Army stormed his residence in Abia State to cart him away.

Annoucing the boycott call off through his Twitter handle, @MaziNnamdiKanu, the separatist leader said the aspirations of the group has been met hence the need to lift the order.

He did not elucidate more on the details of the conditions met that led to his latest action.

“Having confirmed this evening that all our preconditions and terms have been met, signed, sealed and delivered; I hereby call-off the election boycott across Biafraland on Feb. 16, 2019,” Kanu said in a tweet on Thursday.

“I dedicate this historic victory to the formidable #IPOB family worldwide.” he added.

The group which has been calling for the balkanization of Nigeria seeks an independent state caved out from present day South-East and South-South geo-political zones. This election boycott will put a smile on Atiku Abubakar and all PDP people face.
