Soldiers Invade Umunwelile In Etche Rivers, Brutalise Many.
On Wednesday, 23rd August 2018, several armed soldiers allegedly led by Major Nasiru, from Garrison Command, 6Division, Bori Camp, Portharcourt in Rivers State, invaded Umunwelile Community, brutalized, dehumanized, wounded and comprehensively devastated the vulnerable and harmless indigenous members of the town.
The community leaders have sent several formal complaints to relevant authorities, including, but not limited to the Presidency and the Governor of Rivers State.
What’s the problem?According to report given to Dez Mayorz crew, soldiers have decided to forcefully takeover their communal land by force of arms without due process.
