Suspended APC Candidate, Collyns Owhonda Joins PDP In Port Harcourt

The suspended APC House of the representative candidate for Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 2 in the March 25th Election, Sir Collyns Owhonda has joined PDP In Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
His defection to PDP came a few days after APC suspended him, and a few days before the constituency supplementary election that will hold on Saturday 15th April 2023.
Sir Collyns Owhonda’s return to PDP is not a thing of surprise as it has been expected even before the March 25th Federal elections where he finished distant third before INEC canceled the election.
‘APC is not ready to win election in Rivers State.’- Sir Collyns Owhonda said as his reason for leaving APC.
He has contested for the House of Representative seat 3 consecutive times since 2015 and lost all the elections.
APC had consequently declared that the party would not participate in the supplementary election because it no longer had a candidate.
Owhonda would have gone against the PDP candidate Barrister Mrs Blessing Amadi, if he had not defected.
