The Rivers State APC chieftain in Omuma LGA, Hon. Ojiegbe Onyekachi a.k.a. Atiku, has bemoaned the lack of tangible projects by the current Rivers State administration in Omuma LGA. He called on the government to actively engage the Omuma youth with jobs and skills acquisition.

Speaking to news men in Port Harcourt, Ojiegbe Onyekachi expressed his dissatisfaction with the Rivers State Government’s recent executive orders (21 and 22), says the executive orders are calculated dictatorial mischief, aimed to stop the opposition parties from campaigning in Rivers State.

“The State Government’s recent executive orders by Gov Nyesom Wike have never been seen anywhere before. Gov Nyesom Wike is a dictator, his administration even stopped Senator Magnus Abe from accessing a village where he came for campaign. The executive orders are aimed to frustrate opposition parties from campaigning in the State. APC in Rivers State are ready and determine to contest and campaign for 2023 election.  We can’t be intimidated. Rallies and billboards don’t win elections. Executive orders can’t stop us” – Onyekachi Ojiegbe.

He went further to say that Omuma LGA have not benefitted from the state government.

“We don’t have the presence of the state government in Omuma LGA. Omuma people are not benefitting from the current state government. We only benefited during the Chibuike Amaech’s administration and nothing from this Wike’s administration.”

“It has never been this bad in Omuma LGA, we used to be peaceful and play football tournaments together and carnivals, irrespective of political parties and we merry together, but no more. Taunting and political thuggery is on the high now in Omuma” – Ojiegbe Onyekachi.

Nevertheless, Hon. Ojiegbe Onyekachi tells Omuma youth to be hopeful.

“Be hopeful, we must change Omuma LGA,  together.  The promised land will be back and better. God who make 2 wards in Omuma to be a Local Government Area will restore peace in Omuma.” He said.

He concluded by calling on the government to proactive engage the youth especially the Omuma youth with business funds and skills acquisition.

“The state and local Government should engage the youth with skills and business fund. When we were in the Omuma council, we  empowered and engaged the youth in different skills acquisition and acquired motorcycles for them.  We commissioned garri processing plants….”

“I thank God for the DMOMA award that I will receive, I appreciate all that nominated and voted for me.” – Ojiegbe Onyekachi (Atiku).

Ojiegbe Onyekachi is an APC chieftain from Omuma LGA in Rivers State. He will recieve 2022 DMOMA Awards artefact on youth impact comes 3rd December, 2022.
