Gov Wike Declares Rivers State University Teaching Hospital The Best.

The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has declared the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital as the best of such medical facility in Nigeria.
The governor spoke at the inauguration of the twin buildings housing the Faculty of Basic Clinical Sciences and the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, commissioned by the Chairman of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Prof. Abba Hassan in Port Harcourt.
Governor Wike noted the several other separate health service providing facilities that are integrated into the teaching hospital for holistic service delivery.
With such huge investment made, Governor Wike charged the teachers and students to take their work and studies seriously so that there will be sustained excellence in the health sector.
Governor Wike also reassured that he will not leave office without completing projects his administration has awarded. But should any be left without being inaugurated, he was confident that his successor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara will, in the spirit of continuity, completed them for inauguration.
Commissioning the project, Chairman of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), Prof. Abba Hassan noted the audacity of governor Wike to sustain regular training of over 300 medical and other auxiliary staff.
Prof. Abba Hassan said the projects will be beneficial to Rivers people and Nigeria at large.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda commends Gov Nyesom Wike, said the edifice that was just commissioned is yet another evidence of Gov. Nyesom Wike’s determination to improve on the standard of education and human capacity development.
The mayor said the graduates of school campus will be desired by medical establishments and also enhance medical sector.
“There is no sector or Local Government Area that has not received tremendous upswing under the Wike led administration. While we wholeheartedly appreciate the good works of the Governor, we wish to also appeal to the school management to maintain the standard we’ve seen here today for the benefit of our students & the State at large”~ Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Sir Allwell Ihunda added.
