NIGERIAN LAW SCHOOL, PORT HARCOURT CAMPUS WORLD’S SEVENTH WONDER – COUNCIL OF LEGAL EDUCATION.

His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, hosted members of Council of Legal Education in Port Harcourt for the final inspection of Nigerian Law School, Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas Campus, Port Harcourt on Monday, 27 June, 2022.

Governor Wike and the Council of Legal Education delegation led by its chairman, Emeka Ngige, SAN were received at the project site by the Honourable Commissioner of Works, and Supervising Commissioner, Bureau for Special Projects, Rivers State, Dr. George-Kelly D. Alabo, FNIQS, he took them on a tour of the magnificent facilities.

They inspected the following facilities: 1500 capacity classroom blocks,1638 capacity hostel blocks, 1500 capacity multipurpose hall, 16 units 3-bedroom flat staff quarters with swimming pool, gymnasium and lawn tennis court. Library, moot court, sick bay, admin block, cafeteria building, store, sporting facilities for students, internal roads/drains, street lights, three power generators of 1000kva each, 2.5mva substation, dedicated fire station, and 40,000 liters water tank.

Governor Nyesom Wike presented Certificate of Occupancy of some properties attached to the school to the chairman of Council of Legal Education.

“Let me on behalf of the people of Rivers State sincerely thank the chairman of Council of Legal Education and his team for coming here for the final inspection of the project. I also want to use this opportunity to present the Certificate of Occupancy of some properties we added to the law school for the purpose of getting some revenues to run this school effectively,” the governor said.

In his remarks, the chairman of Council of Legal Education, Emeka Ngige, SAN thank the Rivers State governor for keeping to his words by building the best in the country as promised.

“If we say we are not shocked by the things we have seen here today, then we are lying. This is amazing. Is it the seventh wonder of the world? We laid the foundation for this project in July last year, and His Excellency promised to deliver the best law school in the country in less than a year, and behold today is 27 June 2022 and he has delivered. On behalf of the council, I am very grateful for a promise made and a promise kept,” said the Chairman.

Also, the Director General Nigerian Law School, Isa Hayatu Chiroma commended Governor Wike for building the best law school in the country.

“Like the chairman rightly said, this is the seventh wonder of the world. On behalf of the management of Nigerian Law School, I want to say a very big thank you Your Excellency,” he said.
