Port Harcourt City Local Government taskforce on street trading, illegal structures, activities of cart pushers, scavengers and night clubs on Abacha road, led by the chairman Hon. John Amadichukwu who is also the Supervisor for Transport in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, went tough on those trading on the streets of Port Harcourt.

The taskforce dislodged street traders at Garrison, D-line, Mile 1 by Education Bus stop, Okija and Emenike streets.

You will recall that the Taskforce had a fortnight ago announced to those trading on the streets to desist forthwith as directed by Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Some traders vehemently refused to adhere to the directives of the Governor, hence promting the Taskforce to forcefully evict them from the streets of Port Harcourt.

The Taskforce will continue it’s operations until the menace of street trading is reduced drastically in the Garden city.
