Iloabuchi and Gambia streets in Port Harcourt City was put to stand still as people troop from their various homes and shops to witness the ever blazing Sir PHALGA Campaign Team.
Even the rain clouded weather refused to rain (even the rain concured that ‘All is Well’ in Port Harcourt City) as the campaign teams continue their energetic and rejuvenated campaign in Gambia streets (Ward 16) and Iloabuchi Street (Ward 17), Port Harcourt City, Rivers State; to sensitize and solicit for their votes in the forth coming April 17th local Government elections.
The people of Ward 16 and 17 through their leaders promised to vote for the PDP.
They made their demands known to the incoming Mayor, pleaded for them to be effectively involved them in his administration.
Speaking candidly at the campaign ground,
Sir Allwell Ihunda appreciated the overwhelming crowd for coming out, thanked them for their continuous support for PDP since 1999 as he expects over 20,000 votes from the Ward.
He said that his administration will focus on the grassroot, and compliment the efforts of the state government and to impact the dividends of democracy at the ward and community level.
The amiable mayoral candidate promised to support the ward primary schools and the health centres as he urged the people to get their PVC ready now as the election is close at hand (17th April).
Sir Allwell Ihunda, stated that his Government will strongly be committed towards improving the livelihood of men, women, youths and non-Indigenes of Port Harcourt City LGA through his people oriented programs like entrepreneurial development, job opportunities and empowerment programmes, Etc.
He concluded by affirming his readiness to work harmoniously with the incoming Councillors accordingly.
The Port Harcourt City Mayor, Hon. Victor Ihunwo Nyeche; in his proficient sense of humour tells people to support Allwell Ihunda who will take over from him comes June 2021.
Some members of APC party led by Thomas Amadi-defected to PDP at Ward 16.
They said APC party have failed them as the tore their APC membership card.
The chairman of the PDP party at the LGA level, Engr. Solomon Ogbona Ejike, welcomed Hon. Thomas Amadi, the leader of APC in ward 16 and his supporters from the All Progressive Congress to the PDP.
The Chairman also presented the PDP electoral Candidates to the people including:
Sir Alwell Ihunda and his Deputy Mrs Tamunotonye Douglas, with the councillorship candidates, Hon.(Ms) Amadi Nyemachi (ward 16) and Hon. Chigozie Woka as (ward17).
PHALGA Party leaders and stakeholders present, all gave their Goodwill messages centering on the needs to win and win big.
