Rivers LG Election: Port Harcourt Students Endorsed Sir Allwell Ihunda.

The Port Harcourt City Students Association (National Secretariat) have endorsed the PDP flag bearer Sir Allwell Ihunda for Mayor of Port Harcourt City; who is also one of the pioneers of the association.

This endorsement came when the association paid him a familiarization visit in his resident.

Comr. Emma. Chijioke Amadi, the Emeritus National President of the Association led the Executives and Members of the Association to the familiarization and solidarity visit to the mayoral candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the coming April 17th Elections.

Comr. Emma. Chijioke Amadi thanked the mayoral candidate for his warmth reception despite the short notice.
Chijoke told Sir Allwell Ihunda that their solidarity visit to him was prompted by his antecedent as a seasoned and renowned administrator.

Highlited that the entire Students in the city would vote him en mass and that students would be mobilized in every ward in Port Harcourt to vote for the Peoples Democratic Party candidate as his Manifestoes aligns with the aspirations and goals of the association.

The incumbent Students’ President of the association, Comr. Godswill Ogunka also thanked Sir Allwell Ihunda for his simplicity and accessibility, as he pleaded that the Students should be carried along in the scheme of things when elected.

The Port Harcourt City Students Association re-assured the Mayoral candidate Sir Allwell Ihunda that the entire Students living in Port Harcourt is in support of his candidacy.

In his Response, Sir Allwell Ihunda Jp appreciated Port Harcourt City Students Association for their unalloyed support and visit and also affirmed his support for the association which he is one of the Founding Father in the 1980’s along with Dr K.k Gbeke and others.

Sir Allwell Ihunda frowned about students involvement in cultism and youth restiviness which has eaten into the fabrics of the students body and society at large.

He promised that when elected that he would earmark programmes that would be beneficial to Youths and Students.


Those who joined in the visit, includes Comr. Roland Ichechi Ezebunwo (Former National President Of Port Harcourt City Students Association), Comr. Godswill Ogbonda and other Students leaders.
