NUJ Scribe Commends DMOMA Award Organizers.
The State Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Rivers State Council, Ike Wigodo has commended the organizers of the prestigious DMOMA Award.
This and more he said when Dez Mayorz Media director Okoye Chidiebele Stephens visited the Nigerian Union of Journalist building in Port Harcourt.

“Group Nominates NUJ Scribe For Award Of Excellence.
The State Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ), Rivers State Council, Ike Wigodo has been nominated for the 2020 DMOMA Awards in the category of Best Media Personality of the year for the South East and South South states in Nigeria.
The Online Media Award of excellence is a unique and prestigious award that awards people who have distinguished themselves in various disciplines and fields of endeavour including; the academics, Engineering, Entertainment, the Legal profession as well as medical practice and even in politics.
Out of an estimated 100 million Nigerians in South East and South South zone, only 600 people have been nominated for the award as professionals who have distinguished themselves in their various areas of endeavour.
This year’s edition is said to be the second edition while The first edition was held last year
In a letter of award to the Secretary of the Union, Ike Wigodo, the Organizers of the prestigious DMOMA Award of Excellence, noted that the NUJ Secretary and five other nominees would be voted for, in the category of Best Media Personality of the year.
According to the letter, voting is billed to commence online from the 12th of October and ends on the 12th of November, 2020 while the Award night holds on the 12 of December 2020 .
While handing over the letter of nomination to Wigodo, Okoye Chidiebele Stephens said the Secretary of the Union in the State, was chosen amongst others by the public due to their outstanding contributions on issues concerning the people and sociatal development.
In his response, the NUJ Secretary Ike Wigodo, Commended the Organisers of the prestigious award and assured that he would continue to put the NUJ and the public first in whatever tasks given to him.
Wigodo explained that the current leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in the state would continue to be the watchdog of the society and give the Public the privilege and opportunity to be heard.
The Secretary Commended Members of the union and all the media houses in the state for the cooperation given to the union in achieving some of its set goals.
