Gov Umahi and IPOB
The lovable group in South East, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Tuesday warned Ebonyi state governor David Umahi against clamping down on its members.
Dez Mayorz Nigeria News had reported Monday that the Ebonyi government threatened to clampdown on the members of the outlawed group for carrying out unlawful activities in the state.
Spokesman for the group, which was proscribed in 2017, Comrade Emma Powerful said Umahi was being naive to IPOB’s genuine cause in the state and beyond.
But the group denied that its protest carried out in Abakiliki two weeks ago was against the governor.
“We the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leadership worldwide consider it imperative to issue a straight warning to David Umahi that if any IPOB family member goes missing, attacked or detained that Umahi’s immediate family will bear the brunt of our anger,” he said
“He should pray that nothing happens to any Biafran in Ebonyi state or else we will set an ugly example with him.
“There is no doubt that IPOB is a peaceful organisation and not a terrorist group.

“The shameful news that Dave Umahi wants #IPOB to remain proscribed in the face of Fulani violence & threats of invasion by terror herdsmen in SE is yet another affirmative evidence of his prominent role in bringing Python Dance to our land. The prize for treachery is death.”
