We are stranded, please fasten up to finish up the road construction – Eagle Island residents plead on NDDC contractor.
The residents of Sam B Akah Avenue in Eagle Island have cried out to the NDDC contractor working on the Sam Akah drive in Eagle Island, telling the contractor to hasten up and make the road motorable.
Speaking to Dez Mayorz Nigeria on 29th April 2019, the residents showed their sincere gratitude on the street road projects going on in their drive and pleaded for the contractor to hasten up.
“We are very happy and grateful since the construction of our drive started. Kudos to the amiable lady who attracted the NDDC contract to us. It’s a lovely development.”
“For over three weeks now, we are all stranded. We can’t drive out or drive in due to the state of the works going on. It’s really affecting our daily activities. We call on the contractor to hasten up and make the road motorable for us ” – Some of the Sam Akah residents told DEZ MAYORZ.
Reacting on the residents plea, the Dutchlink Engineer on the site Mr Emeka Awa told Dez Mayorz that they will do everything possible to make the road motorable before next week Monday.
” We feel for the residents, we understand their condition right now. It’s the steady rainfall that is impeding our speed. The residents have been patient with us. We will do everything possible to make the road motorable before next week Monday ” – Emeka Awa told DEZ MAYORZ Nigeria.
