Report reaching our news desk right now has it that Dave Nweze Umahi, the current governor of Ebonyi state and also the chairman South East governors forum has reinstated that IPOB still remains proscribed and a terrorist group as pronounced by Nigeria military.

This is coming after a news came that South East governors are pleading with federal government to pardon IPOB as they are still their children.
Dave Umahi made this known while speaking shortly after an indoor meeting at Ebonyi state government house Abakaliki. He was asked if the news that they(south east governors) want IPOB to be pardoned is True. He replied “No there’s nothing like such, IPOB remains proscribed as announced by Southeast governors forum as far as I am the chairman of the forum. We don’t go back on our word. Also Note that IPOB is also recognized as Terrorists, as pronounced by Nigeria Military”
When asked further why still maintaining the proscription when IPOB is not violent he refused giving answer to any further questions concerning IPOB.
