June 12 ,2018 was a unique day in Rivers state. other states was bored, no activities happening , but Rivers state was different,as Former president of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan, Gov Nyesom Wike, deputy governor mrs Ipaligbo Banigo, Hon Chinyere Igwe, others, were busy commissioning roads in Rivers state.
The Omademe-Ipo road has been commissioned by Former President of Nigeria, His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Jonathan.
Speaking during the commissioning the former President said for three years what Governor Wike has put on ground in Rivers State is receiving commendation from all over the country, speaking further he said Governor Wike and his team have done very well by building the 23 kilometre road being commissioned.
Speaking, Governor Wike acknowledged former President Jonathan as the father of the peace Nigeria is enjoying today and told President Jonathan that “one of the reasons we called you to come and commission one of these projects is to let you know that those of us in Government are not disappointing you”.
The commisioning ended with the former President and Governor Wike driving the length of the 23 kilometres of the road.
