Group Tells The NJC To Review The Nomination Of Justice Iheme As Justice Of The Supreme Court

The Rivers Progressive Alliance calls for the National Judicial Council to review the nomination of Justice Chioma Nwosu-Iheme as Justice of the Supreme Court.
The group accused get and said she had been engaged in a Judicial coup and controversial Judgements.
The group posted the video of her Son Uzoma Nwosu celebrating with Hon. Kelechi Worgu House of Reps member representing Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency of Rivers State. Said the celebration might be linked to the collaborative efforts of Iheme’s Son in facilitating the Controversial judgment given in a case about “Defection of Rivers Lawmakers”.
Earlier Senator Elisha Abbo called on President Bola Tinubu to withdraw her nomination.
Senator Abbo who represented Adamawa North in the 9th Senate and won re-election into the 10th Senate before the nullification of his mandate by the Court of Appeal in October last year, made the call for withdrawal of Justice Nwosu – Iheme’s nomination at a world press conference.
The embattled Senator at the World Press Conference alleged that Justice Chioma Nwosu–Iheme carried out judicial banditry on his mandate with the lead judgment she delivered on Monday, October 16, 2023, upturning his mandate in favour of the PDP candidate he defeated with over 11,000 votes.
Justice Iheme has been accused of several controversial court judgments.
