Once a soldier is always a soldier, no one can rig this election under my watch – Obasanjo roared.
The former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, had a closed-door meeting with INEC officials ahead of the 2023 elections and declared that nobody, no political party or its candidate, could rig the forthcoming presidential election under his watch because “once a soldier, always a soldier.”
This is as a result of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) statement that stated that there might be a postponement in the date of the presidential election due to insecurities at their facilities.
Following this declaration, the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, had a closed-door meeting with INEC officials ahead of the 2023 elections and declared that nobody, no political party or its candidate, could rig the forthcoming presidential election under his watch because “once a soldier, always a soldier.”
“Once a soldier, always a soldier; it is impossible to rig this election under my watch; the history I’m about to create will be remembered forever, even after I’m gone. I will bring out my power and last strength to safeguard Nigerians and ensure fairness in this election.”.
Dez Mayorz Media earlier reported that the former president Olusegun Obasanjo has endorsed the Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
The question now is, who wants to rig the election?
