The chairman of the Sir Allwell Ihunda’s Skills Acquisition And Entrepreneurship Programme Committee, Dr. Ezebunwo Nyeche commends the Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Sir Allwell Ihunda on his 365 Days ( a year) of Productive Leadership.
He Said that Sir Allwell Ihunda is gradually reducing unemployment in Port Harcourt City with the Skills Acquisition And Entrepreneurship Programme going on in Port Harcourt City.
Dr. Nyeche added that the Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP is already fulfilling his campaign promises within his 365 days in office with the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Programme ongoing in various centers in Port Harcourt and his mega infrastructural developmental strives in the city.
He revealed that 550 youth and women are already benefiting from the program within a year and more still to benefit on the various skills considered including; ICT and Data Base Administration, Cinematography and photography, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration, Computer & GSM Maintenance, Scaffolding, Crane operation, Welding & Fabrication, Computer Operation Basic, Shoe making, Fashion designing, Combination of pipeline & structural welding training, Catering and confectionery department, facial makeover, Gele crafts, cosmetology, hair dressing, fashion designing, pedicure and manicure.
“Sir Allwell Ihunda, JP believes skill acquisition is one of the important pillars that help many in actualising their dreams and aid those who are not privileged to work with public or private organisations with academic certificates to have livelihoods.”- Dr. Ezebunwo Nyeche added.

The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda JP is already fulfilling his campaign promises within his 365 days in office with the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Programme ongoing in various centers in Port Harcourt and his mega infrastructural developmental strives in the city.
The skills acquisition programme was flagged off by the Rivers State Commissioner of Youth Development, Hon Prince Obi Ohia.
The Programme is now in its second batch with 550 youth and women benefiting, more still to benefit.
The various skills considered in the first batch and second batch of the programme include;
Data Base Administration, Cinematography, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration, Computer & GSM Maintenance, Scaffolding,
Crane operation, Welding & Fabrication, Computer Operation Basic,
Shoe making,
Fashion designing, Combination of pipeline & structural welding training,
catering and confectionery department, ICT, facial makeover, photography, Gele crafts, cosmetology, hairs dressing, fashion designing, pedicure and manicure.
Sir Allwell Ihunda also carried out major infrastructural projects in Port Harcourt City.
Sir Allwell Ihunda, JP beiieves skill acquisition is one of the important pillars that help many in actualising their dreams and aid those who are not privileged to work with public or private organisations with academic certificates to have livelihoods.
The essence of Sir Allwell Ihunda’s skill acquisition in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area is to increase employment opportunities and crime reduction in the societies.
The programme is already having direct influence on graduate and non graduate unemployment reduction in the City.
It also promotes culture of creative ideas, self-reliance, business initiative as well as low level of dependency among the youths in Port Harcourt.
