She is awarded as ‘Ambassador For Peace And Merit’ by the Universal Peace-Builders Association, for the ideal life she lives for the sake of others through her virtues and values in promoting Peace among religion, tribes and public service.
Recently, the deputy LGA chairman of Opobo/Nkoro council, Hon. Angela Oju-Kienmie bags Institute Superior De Communication Et De Gestion (ISCG)’s Distinguished Honorary Doctoral Award.

PROFILE: HON. (DR.) ANGELA ANTHONY OJU-KIENMIE.
Hon.( Dr.)Angela Anthony Oju-Kienmie – a super role model and rising star from the IGBIKIFAMAMA OJU-KIENMIE Dynasty of Ottoni-Ama, Nkoro Kindgom in the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State, is no doubt, rewriting history. She is a humble achiever and indeed a God-fearing woman with a heart of gold.
Coming from a humble background, Hon. (Dr.) Angela has attained a lot of milestones in the society and yet remains relatively unsung because that is her basic nature. After her basic education, Hon.(Dr.) Angela went further in the pursuit of her passion and life’s dream of reaching people through her works and impacting positively on them, thereby making them better people.
She attained a professional Diploma in Journalism and Printing Press Management from the Centre of Human Resource Development, National Open University of Nigeria, Port Harcourt.
In addition to winning many accolades and getting vocational, entrepreneural and other business skills and moving up the strata of life, Hon. (Dr.) Angela holds a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from the prestigious ISCG University in Cocotomey, the Republic of Benin.
By the grace of God, Hon. (Dr.) Angela is currently the Vice Chairman/ Supervisor for Health of the Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area River State, Nigeria.
She gives her unalloyed loyalty and support to the Executive Chairman Rt. Hon.(Dr.) Enyiada Cookey-Gam. She’s also totally given to the service of the people of her local government area in every way she can.
She has continuously shown immense interest and commitment to the improvements and welfare of the girl child as well as the boy child where she has over the years, expended her time, energy and resources to invest in various programmes that will impact positively on the development of the girl child. This passion birthed the writing of the literary work THE TOTAL GIRL, a literature text approved for use in Junior Secondary Schools by the Rivers, Edo and Ebonyi States Ministries of Education respectively.
Drawing from her broad experience in various positions of administration and leadership such as being an Officer (Pastor) with the rank of Captain, She was also the Editor/ Literary Secretary of The Salvation Army’s Publications such as ‘The War Cry’, ‘Salvationist’ and ‘Jesus Kids’. In addition, she organised a press briefing for the World Blood Donor Day event of Braithwaith Memorial Specialist Hospital (BMSH) now Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) in 2012 as well as The Salvation Army International 150 Years Anniversary tagged: “Boundless -The Whole World Redeeming” at he 02 Arena in London in the United Kingdom. As a front line Linguist and French language teacher, Hon.( Dr. )Angela has taught in many private and public schools. She has also orgarnised and carried out educational PROGRAMMES / EVENTS both in and outside Rivers State.
Her strong media profile can be felt in television, radio and the print media . Her most recent experience as an on-air personality (OAP)at the state owned Broadcasting Corporation ( Radio Rivers 99.1 FM, Port Harcourt) as the Presenter of the Programme ‘FRENCH TIPS’ is an unforgettable case in point.
She is blessed with two lovely children Amazingrace and Divinefavour.
