Dmoma Awards: Rivers State University Is Going To Have A Combined Convocation This Year – Prof. Isaac Zeb Obipi.
– ‘Dmoma Award’ BOT congratulates the Rivers State University’s Vice Chancellor on his rejuvenated 100 days in office.

The Vice Chancellor, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Prof. (Chief) Isaac Zeb-Obipi has revealed that the school is going to have a combined convocation this 2025 to curb unnecessary delay in the students’ graduation in the school.
This he said when the DMOMA Awards BOT paid him a courtesy visit in the school as he marks his 100 days in office.
Prof. Zeb-Obipi stated that the University has instituted a 7-day cycle for obtaining transcripts to ensure the speedy processing of academic transcripts in the university.
Initiated the procurement of computers for all staff in the school in line with his vision for a smart administration that would require leveraging the use of technology for teaching and learning.
He confirmed the creation of the ‘Sponsors link’ in the school – an online that enables parents, guardians, and organizations to access the academic records/status of their wards and students.

Introduced the
‘Sequential Actor Results Presentation’ (SARP) that ensures that results are managed in a timely and orderly manner which allows students to access their results while on holidays.
This will enable the school graduate students at the end of the session eliminating delays associated with late submission and approval of results.
In his address, the Chairman, Board of Trustees DMOMA Awards- Dr. Ezebunwo Nyeche on behalf of the Board of Trustees of DMOMA Awards, extends heartfelt congratulations to Professor (Chief) Isaac Zeb-Obipi, on his well-deserved appointment as the Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University and rejoices with him as he marks one hundred 100) days in office.
Dr. Nyeche recognized the significance of his elevation to the high office – an office that stands at the epicenter of academic excellence and the shaping of future leaders.

In his vote of thanks, the director of Owens Maritime Ltd, who was a commissioner of Youth and Development in Rivers State under the Chibuike Amaechi administration, a member of the DMOMA Award BOT, Sir(Dr) Owene Wonodi felicitates with the Vice Chancellor on his 100 days in office.
He commended his great works in the school and referred to him as a worthy ambassador of the Rivers State University.
Prof. (Chief) Isaac Zeb-Obipi is a pioneer winner of the prestigious DMOMA Awards ‘Proactive Lecturer of the Year’ in 2019. He is currently an active member of the DMOMA Awards BOT.
The Rivers State University’s Vice Chancellor is a Professor, Department of Employment Relations and Human Resource Management, Faculty of Administration and Management, and a former Director of Information and Communication Technology Centre of the University.
He is from Ogoloma, Wakirike, or anglicized as Okrika, Rivers State, Nigeria.
Started to work with the University as an Assistant Lecturer in 1997.
Has held several offices such as Departmental and later, Faculty Exams and Record Officer, Faculty Sub-Dean, Head of Department, Dean of Student Affairs, Senior Staff Club President, and Member of 12th University Governing Council.
