Ogidigbein Oil Field Is Not Under Our Watch – PINL Clarifies

The Current shutdown of the Ogdidibien oil facilities by the Itsekiri community youth has raised great concerns.
Victor Udoh, an oil and gas analyst, who spoke with Kalabari TV, confirmed that the oil field is not under Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited-PINL but Tantita.
From his analysis, he observed that the oil facility producing 28,000 barrels per day in Ugborodo, Warri South-West Local Government Area, was shut down on Wednesday the 9th day of April 2025 by aggrieved Itsekiri protesters over alleged marginalization in ward delineation by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
It is important to note that the outcry and show of discontentment by the Itsekiri people within the aforementioned community is a call for help to avert being de-enfranchised rather than allowing this go through a peaceful resolution, the chairman of TANTITA Security Services Limited has resolved to whip ethnic sentiment as a decoy to distract the general public from the crux of the issue and also creating ethnic tension in the area.
The issue of who is in charge of the protection of this pipeline and assets is a blunt fictitious claim to tarnish the image of the revered monarch Olu of Warri and a deliberate attempt to misinform the public.
For clarity, the management of NNPC under the steer of Mallam Mele Kyari separated the entire oil-producing Niger Delta into three (3) sections; The Western, Central, and Eastern corridor. Two (2) out of these corridors are managed by Tantita and Associate company.
For the records, the said Ogidigben is deep within the western corridor under close watch of Tantita Security Services Limited and the statement of denial clearly shows a deliberate act of not standing up to responsibility and lopsided engagement in the surveillance contract within the Western Niger Delta and deliberate act to ensure the illegitimacy pointed out by the Itsekiri people is misconstrued by the public as an ethnic fight rather than allowing them address the concerns raised.
For transparency, he enjoin the public to fact-check the claims of the Chairman of TANTITA Security Limited.
In a swift response to the alleged claim by Tantita Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) debunked every statement in that regard.
