Alert Rains As PH HCDT/Total Energies/NNPC Empowers Port Harcourt Business Owners With N250,000,000

Massive jubilation in the city of Port Harcourt, Rivers State as Two hundred and fifty million naira (N250,000,000) alert rains on the account of 500 beneficiaries from Rebisi Kingdom, Mgbuesilaru community, and the Rumuogba community who benefited from the Business Owners Empowerment Program put together by Port Harcourt Host Community Development Trust (PH HCDT), Total Energies and NNPC.
Dez Mayorz News witnessed the event, as 500 persons from various communities in Port Harcourt (Rebisi Kingdom = 264.
Rumuogba = 100.
Mgbesilaru = 86.
Total = 500) received a loan largesse of Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N250,000,000) from Port Harcourt Host Community Development Trust in simulacrum with the NNPC and Total Energies to empower Indigenous communities of Port Harcourt.
The program tagged ‘Empowerment of Business Owners in Port Harcourt Host Community Trust had beneficiaries drawn from Port Harcourt Host Communities; with the majority of them being women.
The event saw the beneficiaries receiving various loan amounts including N2,000,000, N1,000,000, N500,000 and N250,000 depending on the type of their business.
The Non-Interest loan is a revolving loan scheme that will be repaid and extended to other members of the community after a period of one year.
The Representative of Total Energies for PH HCDT encouraged all to invest the monies in their chosen business and remember that returning it back will help others to also get the same facility for their businesses.

The ever-result-oriented Chairman of the PH HCDT – Eze Sir Sam Soni Ejekwu encouraged participants and charged them to produce results with the money that has been given to them, in lieu of the fact that their brothers and sisters will need the same in the coming years.
It was an exhilarating experience as the participants rained praises on the Board and the Total Energies/NNPC representative.
The program ended at a high point as people started receiving alerts like rain.
Jubilations and excitements rented the air and everyone present praised the board and the sponsors.
Earlier, Dez Mayorz News reported about the top-notch 3-Days Workshop/Training organized by PH HCDT/Total Energies/ NNPC for the Community Traditional Rulers, Community Development Committees (CDC) Leaders, Women leaders, Youth leaders, and community stakeholders in February 2025; which had 200 attendance.
Host Community Development Trusts (HCDT) is a product of the PIA Act 2021, that ensures that the benefits of oil and gas exploration are shared with Host communities.
