The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, South East, Hon (Barr.) Mrs Chioma Nweze has emphasized the unwavering commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to the development of the South East region.
Said South East is witnessing a significant transformation in the region.
Speaking at Tinubu’s Flags-Off of 35Km Access Roads to the Second Niger Bridge,
the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (South-East), said she is delighted to witness the unwavering commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to the development of our region.
Refers to the President’s fairness in appointments and developmental projects as a game-changer for the region, with notable improvements in the quality of roads, healthcare, and appointments.
“One of the notable achievements of the President’s administration is the appointment of an Igbo man, H/E Sen Engr David Nweze Umahi, as the Minister of Works, and another Igbo son as the Chief of Naval Staff. This historic feat is a testament to the President’s commitment to inclusivity and fairness.”

She also commended the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for his tireless efforts to improve the lives of the people of Anambra State and I encourage him to continue with the good work he is doing.
“As part of my efforts to further develop the region, I recently launched the Skill Up South-East project, which includes a comprehensive fashion training program that provides young people with the skills and resources needed to succeed in the fashion industry.
In addition, the Health Support Initiative Program was flagged off in collaboration with the David Umahi University Of Health Science Uburu. This program includes free cancer screening, free dialysis for one year, and free eye testing and glasses. This initiative is expected to greatly improve healthcare outcomes in our region.
I am grateful to President Tinubu for his immense love and support for the good people of the South-East. As we continue to witness significant transformations in our region, it is clear that the future is bright for the South-East.” – She added.
The president of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra state on Tuesday flagged off the construction of a 17.5km X 2 dual carriageway linking the newly constructed second Niger bridge to the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway Phase 2B with contract no 8793.
President Tinubu who was represented at the occasion by the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo called on the local communities to support the company handling for the smooth delivery of the project.
He pointed out that the federal government had approved and released the first 30% to CGC Nigeria Ltd, the firm managing the project, and that the project would begin immediately.
Sen. Engr David Umahi, the Minister of Works while detailing the specifics of the project commended the governor of Anambra state for his numerous infrastructural projects.
Minister Umahi pointed out that the project will have other things like solar-powered streetlights, CCTV cameras and built with concrete.
