Rivers: They Offered Me Speakership But I Rejected It – Hon. Solomon Wami
– Said Rivers State House of Assembly is currently the face of democracy in Nigeria.

The Member representing Port Harcourt State Constituency 1 in the Rivers State House of Assembly Hon. Solomon Wami DSSRS has revealed how Rivers State Government offered him Rivers State Assembly speakership to betray the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike but he refused.
This he said to the Port Harcourt Media Organization who paid him a courtesy on Sunday at the Assembly Quarters in celebration of the New Year.
He alleges that he was offered the position of speakership as an Ikwerre man to betray FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike and join forces with Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s loyalist.
He added that Rivers State House of Assembly under the speakership of Rt. Hon. Martin Amaewhule is the true face of democracy in Nigeria, fighting for the enforcement of the rule of law against the executive rascality in the state.
The elated lawmaker commended and thanked the Port Harcourt Media Organization, saying the leaders love the unity seen in the media organization and that anyone who doesn’t see and appreciate what the Port Harcourt Media organization is doing is an ingrate.
He also appreciates Sir Allwell Ihunda DSSRS for the people-oriented projects he did during his time as the Mayor of Port Harcourt. Said Allwell Ihunda delivered the dividends of democracy to his people with the remarkable projects he did in all the wards of the LGA.
The Port Harcourt Media Organization thanked Hon Solomon Wami for his hospitality and kind gesture.
