Like Nnamdi Kanu, Amaechi Sees ‘No Election’ As An Option To Solve Nigerian Problems
– Says he does not want to miss heaven.
Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has said that he doesn’t want to miss heaven and that’s why he doesn’t give thugs money or use thugs for electoral gain.
Amaechi who was voted for the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award on Public Service made this known while speaking with Igbere TV.
According to him, “My priest once told me that if I should give thugs money and anyone dies because of that money, I will be held accountable and I won’t make heaven.”
“The society might not hold you accountable because you are a big man but God in heaven will hold you accountable and you won’t make heaven. That’s why I have never given thugs money because I want to make heaven”.
The former Governor of Rivers State also said he expected youths to storm different streets and protest against the high cost of living but he hasn’t seen anything that shows that the youth are serious.
“People should be angry because you cannot see a group of people stealing your money without doing anything. I am angry with the citizens because they are not doing anything.”
“Look at what happened in Edo State, should any Politician be campaigning in Edo State? See, some of us cannot afford to buy diesel again because it’s costly”, There are should no longer be election in Nigeria, Amaechi said.
