The immediate former Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development in Rivers State and Onelga flag bearer of the Action People’s Party – APP in the forthcoming LG chairmanship election in Rivers State;
Hon. Prince Isaac-Umejuru has revealed the real reason why he is contesting for the LGA election for Ogba/Ndoni/Omoku LG chairmanship.

Accepting his prestigious DMOMA Award nomination letter from the Dez Mayorz News and organizers of the DMOMA Awards, Hon. Umejuru revealed that the reason he is contesting for the LG chairmanship election in Omoku is to fulfill the aspirations of his people who asked him to contest.

Said he is contesting to build a secure and strong structure for Gov. Siminalayi Fubara in Onelga and to fulfill the will of his people.

“Left for me alone, I would have continued at the state level and worked for my amiable governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara in the capacity of a commissioner.
But my people in Onelga called and asked me to contest.”

“Charity begins at home, and I should come and serve my people with my capacity – they said.

Also, the office will help me build a formidable political structure for the governor in Onelga LGA.” – Hon. Prince Isaac Umejuru.

Hon. Umejuru also commends the DMOMA Awards organizers for their tenacity and charged them to maintain professionalism and neutrality in their reportage.

The former commissioner, Prince Isaac Umejuru is the Onelga flag bearer of the Action People’s Party – APP in the forthcoming LG chairmanship election in Rivers State.

He will receive the DMOMA Awards prestigious artifact (as the commissioner of the year), on 4th December in Port Harcourt; together with CP Tunji Disu (commissioner of police), Dr. Hamza Al-Mustapha, and 47 others for their excellence, youth impact, philanthropism and leadership.

During his time as the commissioner, he championed the completion and commissioning of the Electronic Village Iriebe under Gov. Fubara’s leadership.

The Electrical Village serves as a major hub for the electrical and electronics trade, fostering technological innovation and entrepreneurship. This will create numerous job opportunities, reduce unemployment, and stimulate the local economy by attracting substantial investments.

The facility will provide a centralized, organized marketplace for businesses, improving operational efficiency and industry collaboration.
