Gov. Fubara’s CTC Group Are Recruiting Armed Men To Cause Anarchy In Rivers State – Rivers ALGON

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Rivers State Chapter led by Sir Allwell Ihunda has raised an alarm that the Rivers State Governor’s CTC group is recruiting vigilantes in all the LGA in the state.
In a press statement read by the Rivers State ALGON on Friday, the CTC chairmen are accused of planning to cause havoc and anarchy in the state with their allegedly recruited vigilantes, calls on the Federal Government to intervene as they won’t fold their hands to watch and do nothing.
They also accused the Rivers State CTC group of squandering #40 billion of the confiscated LGA allocations.
In a counter-statement, the Rivers State CTC group led by Hon. Ichemati Ezebunwo condemned the attack on their members and accused the police of behind the attack on their CTC members in Obio/Akpor and Ikwerre LGA.
They also dissociated themselves from the planned Nationwide protest that comes on 1st August 2024.
