Rivers People Protest Against Intended NLC And TUC Strike Over Rivers Political Crisis
– Said they support the blockade of councils premises by the Rivers State police command.

Rivers people, mostly Nyesom Wike’s supporters staged protests in all the Local Government areas in Rivers State.
The peaceful protest was in support of the Rivers State Police Command’s approach in handling the political crisis in the state, especially the blockade of the councils’ premises.
They appeal to the inspector General of police and the state CP Olatunji Disu to continue to maintain peace and stability in Rivers State in securing all 23 Local Government Council premises.
They also urge the NLC, TUC, and NULGE to respect the rule of law as the local government matter is still in court.
Said they would not accept or allow any other group to intimidate the police to leave the council premises pending the determination of the court ruling.
Dez Mayorz News gathered that the Appeal Court has fixed July 4 to continue to hear the cases.
