Group Accused RIWAMA Boss, Prince Ohia Of Hijacking RIWAMA Resources, Contracts, and Jobs To Himself, Wife, Relatives, And Friends

A group under the aegis of Niger Delta Youth Leaders, allegedly accused the Acting Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Hon. Prince Ohia of favoritism, sabotage, and political which-hunting in dealing with the affairs of the agency.
The group said the acting Sole administrator Prince Ohia is hijacking the resources of the agency to himself, awarding contracts to his wife employing his friends and his Omoku relatives, and leaving the cities of Port Harcourt and beyond dirty.
The group said they aimed to call the attention of the governor and nothing more.
Reacting to the allegation, the RIWAMA acting Sole Administrator Hon. Prince Ohia, through his media aide Obed Douglas refuted the media reports by the group under the aegis of Niger Delta Youth Leaders, said the accusation of Hon. Ohia is to sabotage the Fubara-led administration.
Added that the accusation is not only laughable, but baseless and merely an attempt at cheap blackmail; and that contracts within RIWAMA are awarded based on merit, and there is no favoritism towards the relatives of our principal.
“We assure the public that the recent improvements in the cleanliness of Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor are a result of the diligent efforts of our team and the support of the governor’s aide on Environmental Sanitation.
We urge Rivers people to disregard these unfounded allegations and trust in Hon Ohia’s commitment to serving the state.
Despite facing unwarranted attacks from detractors, Hon Ohia remains resolute in his dedication to the success of Governor Fubara’s initiatives. ” – Obed Douglas added.
