Gov. Fubara Directs HLGA To Take Over Leadership Of LGA In Rivers State
The Governor of Rivers State, H.E. Sir Siminalayi Fubara GSSRS had directed the Heads of Local Government Administration in the 23 Local Government of Rivers State.
Dez Mayorz News gathered this in the Tuesday broadcast made by the governor, congratulating the chairmen and councilors for their successful tenure and thanked them for their collective service.
The governor assured the people of peaceful Rivers State and reiterated his readiness to continue to improve the state infrastructure, workers’ welfare, education, health, service delivery, and social delivery.
Dez Mayorz News earlier reported that the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt put on a resolution on the matter CA/PH/198/2024: Hon. Martin Chike Amaewhule & 24 Ors Vs Rt Hon. Comr Victor Oko Jumbo & 5 Ors.
Appeal Court says on the matter of appeal on CA/PH/198/2024 that parties should maintain the status quo and nobody should take any further steps pending the hearing of the appeal.
And hearing on the appeal is fixed on June 20, 2024, as notice of the hearing will be served before the date.
The speaker Martins Amaeghule earlier extended the stay of the LGA chairmen pending the time the government conduct LGA elections.
