Vandalizing And Destruction Of Government Properties, Pipelines Is An Act Of Terrorism – Commandant Igwebueze
– Commends Online Media Practitioners Association Of Nigeria (OMPAN), As He Okayed Media Partnership with OMPAN.
The Rivers State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Basil Igwebueze has applauded the Rivers State Chapter of the Online Media Practitioner Association of Nigeria, OMPAN during a courtesy visit to the command.
Commandant Basil Igwebueze applauded the group on Tuesday when he was paid a courtesy visit at the command headquarters by members of Online Media Practitioner Association of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter led by Comrade Chidiebele Okoye.
Igwebueze noted the importance of online media in today’s word and in dissemination of information.
While speaking, Commandant Igwebueze reel out the success recorded by the command after resuming office in combacting and curbing the activities of pipeline vandals in the State.
He disclosed that, vandalizing and destruction of Government properties, pipelines is an act of terrorism as it is seen as an economic sabotage.
He promised that, the command under his watch will work hand in hand with the OMPAN Rivers State chapter and also seek for a better collaboration with the body.
He appealed to the public and OMPAN to always report, alert and inform them whenever they notice or observe the activities of these miscreants capable of throwing the state into destruction that may further lead to economic breakdown.
The Chairman of the group, Comrade Chidiebele Okoye thanked the commandant for his support and assured him that, the group will work with him and be professional in discharging of their duties as a professional.
The National Treasurer, Juachi Ochu commended the commandant for his proactiveness in curbing the activities of pipeline vandals in the state and assured him that, the group will promote objectivity in their publications of the command.
He concluded by seeking for a more robustic relationship between the command and the group.
