– Calls on NEMA, NOA and other agencies in Coastal areas to take the 2023 Flood Alert by NiMet very seriously.

In less than one month of assumption in office, the former Deputy Governor of Rivers State and presently the Senator Representing the people of Rivers West Senatorial District in Rivers State, Dr. Mrs. Ipalibo Harry Banigo DSSRS has made very impressive moves of preparedness and foresight for her new office on the steps she has taken on flooding.

She gathered stakeholders from Various LGAs of her senatorial Constituency to an exotic Breakfast/ Launch Meeting to Show appreciation and request their cooperation as she unfolds her good plans.

In fulfillment of her assignment, She has launched the Rivers West Senatorial District State Liaison Office where all correspondence will have a swift response.
It is also a medium of communication with the office of the Senator Representing Rivers West.

Distinguished Senator, Dr. Mrs.Ipalibo Harry Banigo proactively calls on the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, National Orientation Agency and Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and other relevant agencies as well as the people living in Coastal areas especially Abua/Odua, Ahoada West, Ahoada East, Ogba Egbema Ndoni and the entire Rivers West to take 2023 Flood Alert by NiMet very cautiously.

She emphasized that the rate of flood casualties last year was alarming and all hands must be on deck to avoid a repeat of such.

In furtherance to save lives and property, Her Excellency, Distinguished Senator has produced sensitization jingles in all local dialects across the senatorial zone and Pidgin English to ensure people at the grassroots are properly educated on the do’s and don’ts during flooding.

This level of commitment by the Senator shows how prepared she is to give the much-needed representation at the National Assembly’s red chamber.
