NEC Votes Of Confidence On Ayu Will Not Stop The Right Thing From Being Done In PDP – Gov Wike
– As some APC leaders defect to PDP.
PDP in Rivers State have received over 90 defectors from various political parties especially APC at the ’11th hour home coming reception of decampees’ in Port Harcourt.
In his address, the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike mocked the former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, for celebrating the vote of confidence passed on his successor, Senator Iyorcha Ayu, by the party’s National Executive Committee.
The governor said Secondus seemed to have forgotten in a hurry that it was not the first time a sitting national chairman was removed after a vote of confidence was passed on him.
Governor Wike insists no amount of confidence votes would save Ayu from being ousted from the position.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt, Sir Allwell Ihunda together with LGA chairmen in Rivers State and top political dignitaries were all at the event.
Some of the defectors welcomed by PDP chairman include; Dr. Sam Jaja, George Tolofari, Marvin Yorbana, Chris Finebone, Muma Gee, Kingsley Gbeke, Amadi Nnokam, Bestman Amadi among others.
