The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike has said that some of the candidates in other political parties aspiring to succeed him in office have no agenda for the State.
He tells Rivers people not to allow the state to go astray and be taken over by those who are only interested in advancing their selfish ambitions.
This he said at the inauguration of the remodelled Waterlines House in Port Harcourt by former Kogi State governor, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim.
Gov Wike echoed that Rivers people will not support any person without development agenda to preside over the state as a governor.
The governor showed his profound gratitude for the opportunity that Rivers people gave him to serve as governor and assured that account of his stewardship is ready.
Governor Wike described Rivers State as the most peaceful State in the country because of the blessing of God on it. He stressed that because the State operates Jesus economy, his administration is able to carry on flagging off new projects and inaugurating completed ones.
Governor Wike also informed that directive has been given for the release of fund for the completion of the Andoni axis of the Ogoni-Opobo-Andoni Unity Road. Funds, according to him, have also been released for the reconstruction of the Abuloma Road and Victoria Street in Port Harcourt Local Government Area.
Speaking about the remodelled Waterlines House, Governor Wike said the old structure was den of criminal elements until his administration took it over.
Governor Wike said the building could be handed over to the Rivers State Civil service or leased out on a public private partnership arrangement.
Former Kogi State governor, Alhaji Idris Ibrahim commended the numerous development projects of governor Wike, says such is physical evidences of good leadership.

According to Rivers State Commissioner for Special Projects, Deinma Iyalla; The complex is made up of a 4 storey remodelled building, a 4 storey new office building, a service building, a security building and gatehouse, fully furnished with a mini-banking hall and ancillary offices. Each floor has 3 Directors’ office, 3 senior staff offices, and support staff offices.
The new office building has the same facility plus a canteen, 150 seating capacity meeting hall with PA system and projector. There are CCT surveillance cameras, Internet facility, smoke and fire alarm system, 3 elevators, 3 emergency exits, 500kva generating set, 500kvq transformer and water fountain.
