DMOMA Awards: Abia North Will Enjoy A Bumper Harvest When I Return To The Senate – Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.

The distinguished Senator and a business man, who served as a Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Distinguished Dr. Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa said that Abia North people will enjoy a bumper harvest when he returns to the senate.
He assured that Abia North will witness effective representation with strong voice in the senate when he returned back after he was truncated in 2019.
This he said when some Online Media Practitioners doubled as DMOMA Award organizers presented his 2022 DMOMA Award nomination letter.

Senator Mao Ohuabunwa said he’s going to the Nigerian senate to speak and sponsor bills for his people and not to speak for himself.
He refers the present state of Abia North Senatorial District under the 9th Assembly as a comic relief, where no one speaks for Abia North.
“I didn’t finish my tenure. My people have seen the difference and ask me to go back because we want to recover our voice. We want to recover our representation. My people have realised that we need a strong voice in the senate.”
“Our senatorial zone is under siege, people can not go to work or farm anymore and still nobody is bringing the matter to the senate.”
“When I was in the senate, I sponsored so many bills that are laws now; and now, no one is following up for my people. The bill on Agricultural Loan Scheme was sponsored by me and it became a law, but nobody is following up and people are not benefiting much from my constituency. I need to go and follow it up for my constituency and sponsor more bills.”
“There is a bill in place before I left, for converting Arochukwu College of Education to a University and that of Federal Polytechnic at Item. Will work on that and more.”

He further stated that his senatorial candidacy has no litigation or being questioned in any way, as INEC has approved and published his name.
He concluded by calling on all his party members to unite and forget what happened in primaries in Abia North and deliver all the candidates of the party for effective representation so as to avoid Abia North from going through the mess they found itself again.
Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa currently is the PDP Senatorial candidate for Abia North. He served as a Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly.
He also served in the 4th and 5th National Assembly as member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia constituency of Abia State under the People’s Democratic Party between 1999 and 2007.
