The National Caucus of the PDP on Friday agreed to submit a tentative date of October 30-31st, 2021 for the party’s national convention.
The Chairman of the PDP Governors Forum, Aminu Tambuwal, announced this after the National Caucus meeting of the party in Abuja, on Friday.
The resolution of the Caucus meeting as read out by Tambuwal states: “We have just rising from our 40th meeting of the national caucus of a great party the PDP, where we have resolved to submit to the NEC of our party tomorrow recommendation from the national working committee for the National Convention of our party to be held between Friday 30th of October to Saturday 31st of October.
Earlier, Dez Mayorz Media reported that the national Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, has returned,says the party respects the rule of law.
He said this in his brief remark following his return to his seat after a five-day absence based on a restraining order issued by a Rivers State High Court.
He told reporters, “It’s good to be back. We are a party that respects the rule of law. We obey Court orders, we obeyed the order given last week and we are obeying the one given yesterday. We have a series of meetings today.”
Acting Chairman, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi welcoming back the Chairman, Uche Secondus to office at the PDP Secretariat in Abuja.
With them is Hon Ladi Adebutu.
