Port Harcourt belongs to all of us- Honourable Ihunwo
– as he says he has directed all his supporters to support and vote for Sir Ihunda.
The Mayor of Port Harcourt City, Honourable Victor Ihunwo JP, has stated that Port Harcourt City belongs to the people of PHALGA and not to any individual.
This is as he declared that he has asked all his supporters to support and vote for the PDP standard bearer for the chairmanship position in the forthcoming April 17, 2021 L.G.A. polls in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area.
The Mayor who made this known during his solidarity speech at the grand finale to round off the ward to ward campaign of the party in PHALGA for the forthcoming L.G.A. polls, which commenced on Monday, 22nd March, 2021 with a visit to ward 1 and 9 on the day one of the electioneering campaign, said yesterday, Tuesday, 13th April 2021, at Ward 2 (Orogbum) PHALGA:
“Port Harcourt belongs to all of us; no one man owns Port Harcourt and we have decided as a people to see that Alwell Ihunda succeeds me in office.
“When you look at me, you will see that I am a very happy man, because I know that power comes from God and it does not matter whether or not I was returned for a second term because political office is time bound and God gives power to whoever he wants.
“Having said that, I have asked all my supporters to support and vote for Sir Alwell Ihunda, my would be successor, by the grace of God.”
He commended the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Chief, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, C.O.N., G.S.S.R.S., P.O.S. (Africa) for his untiring and undying love for the people of Rivers State, which he has shown time and again through his delivery of several people orientated projects, while calling on the good people of Port Harcourt to vote massively for all the candidates of the PDP in the Saturday’s polls as a way of saying “thank you” to His Excellency for all he has done.
The Mayor was accompanied to the ground of the grand finale by His Deputy, Honourable Mrs Marian Fiberesima.
