Gov Wike, Minister Of Sports, Others, Commissioned Real Madrid Football Academy In Port Harcourt.
The Real Madrid Football Academy fully constructed by the Rivers State Government was commissioned by the Minister of Sports, Mr. Sunday Akin Dare on Tuesday in Port Harcourt City.
The Minister of Sports, Mr. Sunday Akin Dare, aswell, commissioned the Hostels and Classrooms Complex of the Real Madrid Football Academy.
Eminent sports personalities, sports writers and enthusiasts all graced the colourful sports event.
The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has restated his commitment to Sports development in the State, hence the major investments in sporting facilities and policies.
He teed-off the Rivers State Governor’s Golf Championship with the theme “Golf For Physical And Mental Wellness Towards Socio-Economic Development.”
Governor Wike stressed further that the Real Madrid Football Academy in Port Harcourt is a world-class facility that is aimed at producing future generation of footballing talents for the State and National teams.
The officials of the academy, said the school is free to all Rivers State indigenes, who will constitute 70 percent of the students, while 30 per cent will be open to trainee-footballers from other states across the country.
The executive chairman of Obio Akpor LGA, Hon Solomon Abel Eke and his colleague, Mayor of Port Harcourt City Hon Victor Ihunwo, were all present at the official commissioning of The Real Madrid Football Academy Hostels And Classrooms Complex at Elekahia, Rivers State.
