Governor of Yobe State, H.E Mai Mala Buni has just been appointed as the chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC)’s caretaker committee and extraordinary national convention.
Buhari called for immediate suspension of all court cases in the APC and the immediate ratification of the Edo State Primary.
The NEC dissolved the National Working Committee at it’s ongoing NEC virtual Meeting being Presided by the acting Chairman Sir Victor Gaidom. The Party may Constitute a Caretaker Committee for the Party.
Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the country, including Governors, National Assembly leaders as well as some national and state party executive members are gathered at the State House for the party’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.
TheNation reports that as at noon, the Executive Council chambers of the State House had been packed with attendees for the NEC, which was called by factional Acting National Chairman of the party, Chief Victor Giadom.
Buhari had on Wednesday indicated his plan to attend the meeting.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is also in attendance.
Goverrnors of Nasarawa , Niger , Jigawa, Pleateau , Imo, Kogi , Yobe , Gombe , Osun , Ogun, Lagos , Kwara, Kebbi, Kano and Ekiti are some of those present.
Also present are Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege; Deputy Speaker Idris Wase; House Leader, Hassan Dogowa and the Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Nnenna Ukeje.
