Big War in AAC party as Sowore expel members.

AAC Sowore expel party members.

Suspension: Sowore Fights Back, Expels Acting Chairman, Suspend Others From AAC.

Omoyele Sowore, the national chairman of the African Action Congress (AAC), earlier suspended on Monday has reacted to his suspension.

Mr Sowore who publishes Sahara Reporters, was temporarily prevented from office by some members of his party.

He was accused of anti-party activities, misappropriation of funds and inability to convene the National Executive Committe (NEC).

The publisher and his cabinet members whose suspension were backdated to commence on March were suspended for six months.

But reacting to his suspension in a statement personally signed by him, Sowore expelled Leonard Nzenwa, who was named  the acting chairman of the party.

The 2019 presidential candidate of the party also suspended members of the party who took party in suspending him.

He said those who announced his suspension was earlier suspended by the party.

“It has come to the notice of the office of the Chairman of the African Action Congress that a group of suspended members, induced by financial reasons and anti-progressive politics, gathered in Abuja today, 13th May, 2019, and purportedly held a NEC meeting,” the publisher said on Monday.

“These members, led by Leonard Nzenwa, former national secretary, who was suspended for financial impropriety and anti-party activities, have demonstrated by their actions that they have never been, and have never shared, the core beliefs that those of us in the African Action Congress hold.

“Leonard Nzenwa is hereby expelled from the party, and the misguided individuals who participated in the Abuja meeting are suspended from the party until investigations reveal the extent of their involvement,” he added.

The party registered last year to snatch power from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) failed to actualize its ambition.
