AAC candidate in Rivers state.

The governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, at the March 9 election, Engr. Awara Biokpomabo, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), of conniving with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Nyesom Wike, to deny him victory.

This is a candidate who never campaigned in Rivers State, very unpopular. A party that don’t have candidates to run so many House of Assembly seats in Rivers State. An undemocratic man who doesn’t care about the people dieing in Rivers State but only wanted INEC to declare him winner by all means.

Biokpomabo, who wrongly claims he was in a comfortable lead until the electoral umpire threw in the spanner by placing a suspension on further collation of results of the election, explained that of the seven local government results declared, AAC defeated PDP in six. He listed those already announced to be Port Harcourt City, Ahoada West, Eleme, Asari-Toru, Akuku Toru, Ikwerre and Oyigbo local government.

He is very wrong in figures. It’s crystal clear that Port Harcourt City Local government is yet to be announced.

The Rotimi Amaechi APC puppet who is the AAC candidate said that by the results declared in those councils, he has a total of 289,773 while Wike scored 76,633, leaving him behind with 213,140 less votes to fight for.

He listed Opobo/Nkoro, Abua/Odual, Okrika, Ogu/Bolo, Khana, Degema, Tai, Obio/Akpor, Gokana, Bonny, Ahoada East, Omuma, Andoni, Etche, Emohua, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni as the Local Government Areas were collations were ongoing.

At a well-attended ridiculous press conference in Port Harcourt, Rivers capital, on Monday, the AAC candidate disputed claims by INEC that its decision to suspend the process was based on reported violence in the state during the election. “INEC pleaded insecurity, violence, seizure of electoral materials by hoodlums etc, as the reasons for suspending the remaining stages of the election.” He rejected the claims saying it was only a collaborative action etween INEC officials and Wike. “I reject the reason given by INEC. This because in the Local Government Areas that were affected, voting had concluded, results declared at the polling units and collation had begun before the abrupt suspension of the process.”

Meanwhile, the Traditional rulers in Rivers State has blasted Abdusalami Abubarka Peace Accord for doing nothing about the use of the military army, FSARS and thugs to kill, shoot and rig election to favour Rotimi Amaechi AAC puppet in Rivers State.

The traditional rulers call on international body to intervene.
